MINC’s Mission
The mission of the MINC Community Development Corporation is to revitalize the Schmalrized, Flower Garden, and Tanglewood Terrace Subdivisions by providing programs and services that promote empowerment, self-sufficiency, education, housing, and economic development.
The MINC Story
In 2011, MINC was founded to promote and provide awareness and tools for healthy lifestyles and wellness to underserved communities. After settling into its office at 1996 E. McLemore, the organization’s focus began to narrow towards community revitalization.
This resulted in the acquisition of subsequent properties around our central location including a vacant lot located at 1993 E McLemore in February of 2014 and a residential home located at 1993 Southern in August of 2014 with the goal in mind to revitalize the community using these areas as our starting point.
Locally Founded Leadership & Board of Directors
MINC is proud to be managed and founded by Memphis locals with a passion for improving the community.

MINC's Impact
As we continued to engage in community revitalization efforts throughout Flower Garden such as community clean-ups, blight control, gardens, and other beautification projects, it led us to form our community development arm of the organization (MINC CDC).
We are currently in the process of rehabbing the property located at 1993 Southern to be the community resource center. We hope to have this completed Summer of 2023.
