We believe financial knowledge is the foundation of a stable community. Our programs provide essential education to help individuals build a secure future.
Community Development
MINC helps connect Schmalrized, Flower Garden and Tanglewood Terrace Subdivision residents & Volunteers through relationships with Memphis community stakeholders in order to develop neighborhood leadership around self-organizing, blight reduction, increased home ownership, and community development.
Internal Partnering Strategy
MINC works with other Memphis non-profits to encourage community-led improvements and base our goals on the shared goals of the community.
Small Business Development
We support local entrepreneurs and small businesses, recognizing them as the backbone of our economy. We are actively involved in revitalizing the Lamar Avenue corridor, working to create a vibrant commercial district that benefits the entire community.
Helping Connect Memphis Voices
We cultivate the voice of the neighborhood through relationships with Flower Garden Subdividion’s stakeholders in order to develop neighborhood leadership around self-organizing, blight reduction, increased home ownership, and community development by:
- Networking with Resident Leaders
- Organizing around problem properties
- Collaborating about issues residents care about
- Connecting residents to city/county departments for info sharing on grassroots improvements to infrastructure.
Neighborhood Revitalization
We connect residents and volunteers to the shared vision of Flower Garden Subdivision stakeholders in order to maintain affordability while increasing the economic vitality of the neighborhood.
We partner with Memphis based non-profits whose mission aligns with the goal of connecting & revitalizing Memphis from the ground up.
